Why We Started Comparing Pool Equipment Prices

The same pool pump can cost $150 more or less depending purely on which retailer you happen to check first — with no correlation to service, shipping speed, or anything else that would explain the gap. That's the problem PoolBuff exists to solve: track prices across the retailers that actually matter, so you don't have to open ten browser tabs every time a part fails. We also kept running into the same issue ourselves: figuring out which of two similar-looking pumps or filters was actually the right fit meant piecing together information from five different manufacturer PDFs and forum threads. So alongside price comparison, we're building out the guides, how-tos, and manuals that should have existed in one place from the start.
